Set of 3 Wall Art Ideas
A set of 3 wall art works best when the three prints are the same size, from the same series, and hung in a straight row with equal gaps of 5 to 8 cm. Together they should span about two thirds of the furniture below.
Below is a ready-matched set of three blue flower market prints, cornflower, iris and hydrangea, with sizes, spacing, hanging height and the mistakes to avoid with a trio.
The set: Trio in a row
About 136 cm wide and 59 cm tall in total with 5 cm gaps. Centre it above the sofa.

The set: three blue flower market prints
These three prints come from our Flower Market series, and they were made to sit together: each has a single flower drawn large on a cream ground, the same small serif heading at the top and the same title panel at the bottom. The cornflower, the iris and the hydrangea share one palette of deep blue, soft teal, leaf green and cream, so the trio reads as one piece across the wall.
Hang the darker iris in the middle so it anchors the row. The set suits white, cream or pale grey walls, natural wood and blue or green textiles, in a living room, dining room or bedroom. See the full flower market collection or more botanical prints.
How to hang three prints in a row
- Find the centre. Mark the middle of the sofa, sideboard or bed. The middle print hangs directly above it.
- Set the height. Hang the middle print with its centre at 145 to 150 cm from the floor, or with its bottom edge 15 to 25 cm above the furniture.
- Space the outer prints. Hang the left and right prints at exactly the same height, about 5 cm away from the middle one. Use a spirit level along the top edges.
- Check the span. Three A2 prints suit a standard sofa. For a sideboard, a narrow wall or above a bed, use three A3 prints instead.

Common mistakes with a set of three
- Gaps that are too wide. Beyond a hand's width, three prints start to look like three separate pieces.
- Mixing sizes in a row. A triptych-style row only works when all three prints match in size and frame.
- Too small for the wall. Three A4 prints above a big sofa look lost. Size up rather than down.
- Three unrelated prints. A trio needs a shared style and palette, which is why this set comes from one series.
