Cocktail Art Prints

A cocktail poster is a small piece of theatre for a wall: one glass, a few flat colours, and enough confidence to hold a room from across it. These cocktail prints take the aperitivo-poster tradition and make new drinks from it.

The drinks, and why they work as wall art

Certain cocktails read instantly as shapes - the wide coupe of a martini, the tall ice-filled spritz, the squat tumbler of a negroni. That silhouette is what makes cocktail wall art legible at distance, and why a print of a drink works where a photograph of the same drink would not.

Colour does the rest. Spritz orange and Campari red bring warmth; a gin-and-tonic green or a martini's near-colourless glass on a dark ground reads cooler and calmer.

Where cocktail posters go

A home bar or bar cart is the natural home, but these do just as well in a kitchen, above a dining sideboard, or in a hallway where something with a bit of wit is welcome. Hang at standing eye level where people will be standing, which is lower than gallery height.

Two or three in a row suit a long wall behind a counter. Keep the glassware different and the background tone the same, so the set reads as a series rather than a coincidence.

Sizes and framing

Flat colour and simple shapes reward scale, so the larger formats usually read better above a bar or sideboard. Mark the outside dimensions on the wall with paper or removable tape first, and match any frame to the exact print size - similar-looking metric and inch formats are not interchangeable.
